The automatic equipment is used to check the length of chopped rubber profiles. Individual parts are transported to the machine from the preceding cutting machine by means of a continuous three-sided conveyor belt. The length of the profile is measured during the transport in a non-contact manner by a pair of precise light barriers. The profiles of the correct length are blown on the sorting station from the conveyor belt by an air nozzle into a sorting unit and prepared bins. The speed of measurement is such that it makes it possible to process up to 6 parts a second.
